True Tales From Dickerson Park Zoo: There's a Crocodile in the Bathtub! by Mike Crocker, 169 pages

Rowdy reptiles, belligerent birds, crafty cats, and more...

I pulled the croc back to me and bear-hugged him to my body. He was around seventy pounds and about all I could manage by myself. I put him in the bathroom, which curiously had no door. Hoping to keep him in there, I piled the room furniture in front of the bathroom door...

I was moving a Burmese python when it struck me... The snake coiled rapidly around my hand and leg, pinning my right arm to my right leg, I tried to get the snake off with my left hand, but it was no use...

One Sunday a call came in that a tiger was loose in the zoo. I jumped into a truck and drove over in time to see Horsefly, the adult female tiger, walk right past my truck!

Read about these and more crazy animal stores in True Tales from Dickerson Park Zoo.
