The Accidental Empress by Allison Pataki, 495 pages

A work of historical fiction, looking at the marriage of the Habsburg emperor, Franz Joseph and his "fairy" bride, Sisi. Set in 1853 in the Austro-Hungarian empire, this was a great look at a powerhouse couple. I knew pretty much nothing about this period in this section of Europe, and this was a great introduction. I am very interested in learning more about Sisi after reading this book. Very well written.
