To Marry an English Lord by Gail MacColl, 403 pages

I love Regency romances and nonfiction books and this book combines both of these. It covers the American heiresses who married titled Englishmen in the late 1800s and early 1900s. It covers the the height (and depths) of American society which was centered in New York, and "The Buccaneers" who traveled to London to nab a husband and a title with their massive dowries. I had to get this book via inter-library loan, but I'm considering buying a copy for myself. A fascinating and informative read.
